millerism1 In 1995 I moved from Dallas to Midlothian. In the move I somehow lost my cassette of AIRPLANE. Maybe a year later I'm working at the Blockbuster video in Cedar Hill and who should walk in but Ezra Vancil. In the midst of my fanboy gushing I lament to him about my lost cassette. Couple days later Ezra comes back to the store and hands me a CD copy of Gypsy Tree AIRPLANE. I still have it and listen to it in the truck with my daughter. Thank you and I'm forever a fanboy.

we'll put Francis in the yard Grow some ivy Wrap our saint in flowers I’ll quit the band and take a job Still write music In our den for hours In a big old house We will mark our days When the floors are cold Get the coffees made Light a fire And when the snow is gone We will still be here I’ll mend the roof You decorate Thrift store paintings Nudes of Paris Plaster And maybe Friday for a date Make some children At our party, after In a big old house We will mark their age On the door jamb By the white bookshelf case On the morning When they're moving on They will still be here Let’s turn the barn into a shop Make your art Sterling silver feathers We’ll make due with what we got We can weld Any break together In a big old house We will make our way And the drafty windows Oh I wouldn't change In the morning When the winds are blown We will still be here We'll put Francis in the yard Hear our blessings Wrapped in flowers Singing In a big old house We did live our days It was cold and small But a warm heart blazed And the morning after we are gone It will still be here

Follow 04:11
Follow my heart Come follow my heart Follow my heart Just let me walk beside you Let me walk beside you Oh, just follow my heart Ya, follow my heart Follow my heart Yet let me rest beside you Let me rest beside you Oh we’re All in the dark We’re All in the dark All in the dark We’re all in the dark Here in the dark though Here in the dark Here in the dark it just takes a spark Follow my heart How ‘bout I follow your heart Oh I’ll follow your heart Follow your heart, just let me walk beside you Let me walk beside you Oh, I’ll just follow your heart Come and follow my heart Oh i’ll follow your heart Just let me rest beside you Let me lay beside you Oh we’re all in the dark We’re all in the dark All in the dark We’re all in the dark Here in the dark though Here in the dark Here in the dark it just takes a spark So I’ll just Follow your heart A light set on a wave Through a storm, She wouldn't break I let her go away Light another wave Come and go away Our light set on the moon She goes for coming soon I let her go away Light another wave Come and go away Let it go away Oh we’re All in the dark We’re all in the dark All in the dark We’re all in the dark Here in the dark though Here in the dark Here in the dark it just takes a spark It just takes a spark Co just follow my heart My light set on a wave Through a storm She wouldn't break I let her go away Let it go away Light another wave Come and go away Like the light upon the moon She goes for coming soon I let her go away Light another wave Come and go away

Glow 04:47
The wind is blowing over the hill The raindrops stirring the birds of the field And I was absolutely hurting for love The mountains raised like a curtain above I saw the past like a river That river enraged With nowhere for certain to rest for the day I was drifting in that river enough I would have stayed there forever lighting it up But I can’t shine If I don’t glow Peace of mind Light this soul Though all my crimes Built this road I don’t have to walk alone The moon like an elbow resting in space I wonder who’s looking down on our face Sometimes I feel like an angel who got on the wrong bus But then you know I’m that devil inside all of us And I can’t shine If I don’t glow Peace of mind Light this soul Though all my crimes Built this road I don’t have to walk alone I sought to leave this old world I was just saving face With nowhere for certain To rest for the day Then I saw I was leaving Some kind of grace The mountains revealing Sunlight on my faith I can’t shine If I don’t glow Peace of mind Light this soul And all these crimes built this road We still shine even though And we don’t have to walk alone

Never trade your promise for regret The day you do your laying down a bet That someones going to hold you when you're old Let’s hope that human kindness doesn’t fold Brother, it’s a wild and wary game Then we count up the pieces that remain Love will burn then bury you Hearts will break then carry you Truth will teach her song to you As we walk our wild and weary way back home These bridges were built by engineers These lips could burn in days what took them years Be careful when you reach for that last word The last one is the only one they heard Oh, Sister, it’s a long-forgotten tale The lonely one is writing for himself Love will burn, then bury you Hearts will break then carry you Truth will teach her song to you As we walk our wild and weary way back home An Elephants will always be your friend The question is will you remember him Never teach a bear karate He’ll punch in the neck and break your body Teach him how to care Then he’ll learn to share Take you out for dinner Yah, he’ll take me everywhere Sister, it’s a wild and weary road Then we count up all the pieces that we sold So, hang a sign and write it not for sale These precious little items on the shelf And sing Love burn bright, then set me free Heart be strong and carry me Truth, tonight, sing your song for me As I walk my wild and weary way back home

Hero Song 04:13
Say in silence what I can't explain Say too much when I can feel the blame I guess it's so I know it's the old story told But In my heart I still want to be your hero Broken promise I left too soon Tearing down the world I built for you I guess it's so I know it's so long past the show But In my heart I still want to be your hero I only did the best I could We say when it wasn't good enough On new day wild and free Then I wake up in our history There's a lonely hero song in every show that's moving on some debt I can't repay All that is and yesterday, yesterday I turned a page and put away those lies Now I'm waiting on my Nobel prize I guess it's so I know, there's a long way to go But In my heart I still want to be your hero All I did and didn't say All the words that got away If I could go back, I would But I can't promise I'll be good There's a lonely hero song In every show that's moving on Some debt, I can't repay all that is and yesterday yesterday I guess it's so I know, It's so long past the show But in my heart I still want to be your hero

When I wake up I feel unstoppable then the morning begins Trip on the dog and it’s so impossible The world as it goes never ends When I hold you in my arms, Now I'm talkin' to my pills Baby, I feel all kinds of regret You're better off just to run for the hills This guy just a losing bet Then she sings, Hold me in your arms I’m gonna be your lucky charm tonight I love you like the beat of my heart (that feels so nice) Anywhere you go, I would Don’t care about the neighbourhood I Follow like the beat of my heart That’s good ‘cause I feel at home in the neighbourhood Where the Tejano shoot the guns in the sky We’re making love like the stars in hollywood We dance like the 4th of July She sings, Hold me in your arms I’m gonna be your lucky charm tonight I love you like the beat of my heart (that feels just right) Anyway you go, I would Don’t care about the neighbourhood I follow like the beat of my heart When I hold you in my arms Now I’m talking to my pills I feel such anxiety Has my life been reduced to the thrills of just trying not to be me I’m gonna love you like the beat of my heart I’m gonna love you like the beat of my heart I’m gonna love you like the beat of my heart I’m gonna love you like the beat of my heart

My father was a poet I could hear him sing Through the walls as I lay in my bed with just a poet's dream My mother played the piano she wrote love stories Through the walls in the night when she sang I dreamt it's just for me Then I went to school just a forgotten teen I never felt I could belong until they heard me sing So Play me your song I’ll sing along I kept the words beside my bed When everything's wrong And I need to be strong I hear the poet's verse he read Play me your song Let it go on until the dawn My daddy went back to work he was in carpentry In the night I would strum his guitar As he tried asleep My mother planted her love songs In the family tree In the night I would play her piano Like she played for me I could see in their eyes All the forgotten dreams Like they didn’t belong Without a song to sing I’ll play you a song And you sing along I put the words beside your bed When everything's wrong And you need to belong Just hear this verse the poets read Play me your song let it go on until the dawn play me a song I put the kids into bed And write my song again Behind the walls I hope they dream in the night I sing it just for them play me your song I'll sing along I put the words beside your bed When everything's wrong And you need to belong Just hear this verse the poets read Play me your song let it go on play me your song

In this old town, people say Look at him he’s walkin’ in a different way They know our past and taking names Betting double-down will they change They hung a picture up of my sin For little boys and girls to see at the museum This town is full of our broken dreams Little angels, porcelain, and a man of means In a dark night with the fallen sun We will run, we will run On a dark night ‘neath a cherry moon Leaving soon Leaving soon We pay the piper with fools gold Complicated lies and a promise of old Here in this town, they're all asleep Or maybe were nodding off on our feet In a dark night with the fallen sun We will run, we will run On a dark night ‘neath a cherry moon Leaving soon Leaving soon In a dark night with the fallen sun We will run, we will run On a dark night neath a cherry moon Leaving soon, leaving soon In a dark night with the fallen sun We will run, we will run On a dark night neath a cherry moon Leaving soon Leaving soon

Son before you leave On that journey to the sea Where we all go And heaven knows The rivers flow Strangers on the land We sail the desert sand Looking for that stream That’s where you wanna be Mighty Rivers grow There will be dark and weary nights Maybe a crippling appetite For a dream you thought was yours Sailing off for distant shores Just let it go We can't slow The Mighty River’s tow Son, I wish you well If never learn to sail But Even if you fold That old boat will hold Where Mighty Rivers go And on your darkest nights Look inside you There's a light Turn it on and glow But don’t put on a show That Mighty River knows There may be songs Left unsung Broken things And setting suns Hope too far from reach Like a mirage up on the beach Heaven knows You can’t slow The Mighty Rivers tow On to the sea eventually Mighty Rivers go Son, you’ll always be A child upon my knee But I can’t go Where you need to go So let them Mighty Rivers flow There will be dark and lonely nights Maybe a crippling appetite For a love that once was yours Sailing off to other shores Just let ‘er go You can’t hold The Mighty Rivers tow Just find the sea And there you’ll be A Mighty River Soul

Our Town 03:53
If you want We can feel What the stars have in common With the seed in the field Of God’s beautiful garden And If you cry then I cry Just to bless your tears And if you fall then I fall just to hold you near Break the wood With your hands For the fire in the morning Here in our town Right here in our town Well there's so much to fear baby When love is severe Right here, right here in our town We are strong Ye are gods We are one In the the sunrise We are fools Ye are wise We are visions In common And if you fall Then I fall Just to hold you near And if you cry Then I cry Just to bless your tears Break the earth with your hands For the earth is our calling Here in our town Right here in our town Well there's so much to fear Baby, her love is severe Right here, right here In our town We are strong Ye are gods We are one in the sunrise We are fools Ye are wise We are visions in common Here in our town Right here in our town There's so much to fear baby Her love is severe Right here Here in our town Right here in our town Well there's nothin' to fear baby Love is severe Right here, right here In our town There's nothin' to fear baby Love is severe Right here Here in our Town if you want we can feel what the stars have in common with the seed of the field in god’s (or Our) beautiful garden if you cry then we cry to bless the tears if you fall then we fall just to hold you near break the wood with your hands for the fire in the morning here in our town right here in our towm there aint nothing to fear baby when love is severe right here, in our town we are strong ye are gods (or we are bright) we are one in the the sunrise we are fools ye are wise we are visions in common --Still writing -- And the sun is in your eyes there is no fear the moon is on the rise ??? cheer ----- dig the earth with your hands for the earth is your calling here in our town right here in our towm (all the world is in fear baby) aint nothing to fear (but we’re (seeing?) in the clear) with all of us near here, in our town
